Amazingly it still ran OK (more or less) despite the fact that the only things holding the pump in place were the injector pipes and the tension in the timing belt!
I am suspecting that this is as a result of some sort of pump problem. Despite running OK the pump pully is VERY stiff to turn and has a definite heavy "Clunk" as it goes past each injection point.
Has anybody else seen this before??
I suspect that this is beyond realistic repair but I am sort of hoping that somebody will say "Oh XYZ Ltd makes a in-situ repair plate to deal with this"
Buit I am not really holding my brerath!
Any suggestions/comments welcome.
