I have looked at "the Haynes book of Lies" and though the job isnt listed specifically from what I have seen it doesnt look that bad.
Its just the cost that is the issue. It IS a 10 year old transit and while (even bearing in mind current issue) the old diesel engines are pretty indestructable the bodyshells were not very well built! and, as is not uncommon for older transits, is now pretty tatty!
