Re: Renault Megane II 1.5 DCi 2003 - Crank sensor fault #
Richard Wilson
Hi Dave no offence taken, I posted the question on behalf of another garage who had asked my advice, as he had changed the crank sensor. I went out to the Megane yesterday & put the old crank sensor back in, vehicle started straight away, faults present were coolant temp sensor ATT & multiple ramp fuel pressure faults MEM, no crank sensor faults at all, I ran the engine up to 84 deg c & held at 2000rpm criuse speed revs & watched the fuel rail pressure which was only 660 -780 bar dropping now & again to 280 bar nearley stalling, I have suggested the fuel filter be replaced before any further checks be carried out. I was expecting to see about 1000- 1030 bar at cruise speed revs. I will let you Know the out come when he's replaced the filter, I think poor maintenance may have been the problem all the time. Scaned with Socio & scoped with Pico. Regards Richard.
