Hi all
Got a fault with the above vehicle, it cuts out intermittently but then mostly restarts straight away. Fault codes i got from the pcm were
p1665 injection pump communication error
p0149 electric fuel pump control time
p1563 injection pump engine stop
p1664 injection pump malfunction
p0335 crankshaft sensor circuit malfunction
Cleared fault codes ran the vehicle till it cut out and the fault codes were
p1563, p1664 and p0335, scoped the crankshaft sensor at the ecu and appears to be o.k. When the fault occurs it will miss abit and then just cut straight out. The ecu switches off the earth supplied to the fuel pump relay and then in turn cuts the engine out. The fault codes wont clear until you switch the ignition off then back on, the fault seems to happen more when the engine is at higher revs. Checked all lives and earths to the ecu and all o.k, fault coded pump and there was one fault code 52 angle sensor/iwz system
fault but from memory i was told that code 52 didnt matter on fords. Any help would be most appreicated running out of ideas.
