Help identifying tea set (Hilditch?) Posted by Anne-Claire on June 14, 2026, 12:29 pm Hello, I'd be very grateful for any help you could give me identifying the pattern or maker of a lovely set (small plate, 2 cups and a saucer) I purchased recently. There are no markings on any of the pieces. The seller thought it might be Hilditch because of the resemblance of the boy to Eskimo Child. I think there's also an overall similarity to 'Three Figures and Arch'and there's a spotty dog as in 'Boy with Spotted Dog' and 'Shell Carriage' but the border is very different to the other Hilditch patterns. Your expert advice is much appreciated - thanks in advance.

Your pattern, I agree, looks maddeningly familiar, and yet nothing in the TCC database that I can find matches it. The London shape of the cup looks very much like a Hilditch creation, but no such Hilditch pattern is recorded anywhere that I know of. Parts of the pattern as well as the shape also resemble Rathbone products, but there again I don't find a Rathbone pattern recorded. With your permission, I'd like to put your pattern in the TCC database. May we use it?
