Help identifying this 19th century bowl please Posted by Elli Mac on April 25, 2025, 4:53 pm I found this blue and white bowl among my grandmother’s things - I’ve had a good search for the pattern and the maker’s mark, but can’t seem to find a match. I’d very much appreciate any suggestions. The mark seems to be a caduceus which I think suggests Powell and Bishop, but I can’t find the pattern. I think the red numbers mean February 1857 but not certain. It’s a deep bowl, with a gilt rim. The photos show the bowl, the underneath, and the inside bottom. I would love to know who made it (and whether I could find any more). Thank you so much! free dice games

Re: Help identifying this 19th century bowl please Posted by Len on May 4, 2025, 7:44 pm, in reply to "Help identifying this 19th century bowl please" The succeeding partnerships of Powell, Bishop & Stonier, and Bishop & Stonier, also used a caduceus mark, but generally had added names or initials as I'm sure you already know. Doesn't bring us any closer to a maker unfortunately. We can only hope that more information turns up eventually!
