1820 Spode blue transferware, unusual form, Common Wold Trap from Indian Sporting Series Posted by SPDblue on February 25, 2024, 2:30 pm I have acquired this interesting bowl/plate, and my question is about the form/shape or use. I know the pattern, date, and can't seem to find anything with this side extension which seems to be a handle of sorts. Can you experts tell me what it's called (form), please, a little more about it. Thank you. The tape and writing on back are from the collector whose estate I've bought out recently. Thank you! Those were often more oddly shaped and would have handles on only one side.
