I have acquired this interesting bowl/plate, and my question is about the form/shape or use. I know the pattern, date, and can't seem to find anything with this side extension which seems to be a handle of sorts. Can you experts tell me what it's called (form), please, a little more about it. Thank you. The tape and writing on back are from the collector whose estate I've bought out recently.
