Hello everyone,

I recently purchased this covered English transferware dresser/trinket box and have been trying to identify the manufacturer.

Details:

* Pattern: HARVARD
* Backstamp includes:
* TRADE MARK
* Rd. No. 233571 (appears to read this, but I’m open to corrections)
* ENGLAND
* A wreath surrounding what appears to be “H. & Co.” (or similar—the initials are worn and difficult to decipher)
* Covered square dresser/trinket box with black transfer decoration on cream earthenware.
* Approximately late Victorian based on the registration number.

I’ve searched extensively but have not found another example with this exact backstamp or this form in the Harvard pattern.

I’m hoping someone might be able to help with one or more of the following:

1. Can anyone identify the manufacturer from this backstamp?
2. Is my reading of the registration number (233571) correct?
3. Has anyone seen the Harvard pattern before or know which pottery produced it?
4. Is this form considered uncommon?
