Hi again, I finally found the original of my painting. It is The Card Players by John Burnet and is at the GuildHall Art Gallery in London. This is the source of the Clews Wilkie design 'The Card Players (Christmas Eve)'. Although you cannot see it on the plate design, there is a large sprig of mistletoe hanging over the head of the young man 'helping' the girl. Tried to upload a picture of my copied version but the button didnt work.
