I was wondering how the stippling (sometimes called dot matrix) in areas that appear solid on transferwares were made. If you look at the "solid" areas around the palmettos of the marley on Claremont TCC#6337; that is what I'm inquiring about. With a magnifying glass theyse areas are composed of lots of dots. Were they pricked with a needle? Or was there some sort of mesh impressed into the copper plate? Thanks!
