The reason I am confused about this tea bowl is because it looks to be made from hard paste (asian) porcelain, but it depicts what looks to me to be an american pioneer type setting on the one side (the shanty on the water), possibly with an english setting on the obverse (the rook/tower).
I have never seen transferware of this style on true porcelain before.
Any ideas as to when or where it was made?
I can take more pictures if anyone's interested.
