Hi Bob. Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you. I looked through the New Hall bat print book and don't find anything that matches the transfers on your cup. Doesn't look like anything done by Spode either, who also used bat prints extensively, but a number of other British makers did use bat prints and there's still a lot of research to be done in that area. As for the inner lustre border on the cup, it's common to find that sort of decoration worn or faded, just from handling and being washed repeatedly. The same thing with gilding, it's just more susceptible to wear than the transfers are.
