Speed reading and not checking! I read that Rural Scenery was registered in 1842 and ploughed on from there. I have no record that Mayer registered Rural Scenery, in fact their registrations seem confined to shapes?
I would appreciate the source that Clementson and others did specifically submit printed wares to the Great Exhibition.
Certainly the Committee report comented on how pleased they were to see border patterns, rather than all over patterns, as plates with white cetnres were more amenable to eat off. (my words).
