and only 11 more to go. I admit that all my previous chemos were child's play. This one kicked my butt for 5 days. Had to do a lot of experimentation to find what I can eat. The worst part was realizing chocolate didn't sit very well and Oreos were almost lethal !!! Cried over that one. Oreos are my favorite and usually have 2 every evening. I just keep thinking of all the money I'm going to save - sigh. Now I just have to figure out a better sleep pattern. Seems the opiods make me very very wide awake. Although they make the vast majority of people very sleepy my body has decided to do the reverse - arggg Can't wait to get my port. Currently have a PICC line and have to go to the VA once a week for a dressing change with takes about 15 minutes. The trip to the VA takes 45 minutes up and 45 minutes back home. That's enough to ruin a perfectly fine day. Surgery consult is Tuesday and will find out then when the port can be put in. It will probably be after Thanksgiving since I will need to be off the anti-coagulate for at least 3 days before and 3 days after they put it in. Okay. Enough complaining. I'm sure it will improve over time and I'm grateful that I have more time! Take GOoD care Zoe
