Sounds like she is quite depressed. Someone needs to contact her doctor. Oncologist, surgeon, or gyn. Get her in for an appointment asap. She shouldn't have to live like this, and the stress of doing it will only make things worse.
She is in need of a support group. Does she have a friend who could go with her to one? I hope so. She may need meds for a short time, but it's better than living like she is.
Let us know how she's doing. Some people just don't have good coping skills. One never knows how they will handle a traumatic event. Truly, if this is the worst thing that ever happens to her, she is very blessed. Believe me, I know.
