I think Armstrong looks like he could be a genuine player, he has everything you'd want to see at his age (size, touch, good head on him).

There's an interesting debate to be had about what would have suited Armstrong best this season - a loan to the Championship (or say, Holland/Belgium) or integrating him into the first team squad. You can make a pretty compelling case for either.

But the way he's been treated this season has been shocking. Recalling him from a successful loan, playing him out of position for half a dozen games, then dropping him (even off the bench) but not loaning him back out. That's pretty much the worst of all outcomes. You just hope his development hasn't been set back 6 months-ish (though you suspect it has).
