Lots of US owners in the prem, most dont make a profit (unlike US sports clubs), so the only value for them now is to increase the value of the club. Eventually they will want them to be profitable and look to, games on ohter continents and selling TV rights club by club. The guy spouting off thought that wouldnt be enough and they would look to go further, like changes to relegation and promotion.
