he's saying he's telling the fans straight. I think we've realised things aren't moving at the speed we want them to and we all recognise that signing top players is hard - but what he is clarifying is that the situation is not actually in hand at the moment and that he's frustrated with it - whether there's an element of blaming the club's representatives I am not quite sure but suspect there may be.

Comes back to the questions of whether we're being realistic in our valuations and whether we are wasting too much time pursuing players who aren't interested.

Another bad start to the season and things could start to go sour again, it's happened too many times before for this not to be a possibility. I read these comments as him saying he doesn't think he should carry the can if that does happen.
