They definitely broke the filing rules

failing to meet the deadline to submit a case for an exemption under the multi club ownership rules but I cannot but think the outcome would be different if they were a more powerful club. The football authorities love a bit of performative punishment of clubs that do not drive their commercial deals. To be fair to UEFA they do occasionally take a pop at bigger clubs but almost always lose the lawyer wars. Palace will appeal.
