Since I know nothing of his off field issue I can't comment further.

Got his career ruined because - correct me if I'm wrong - somebody falsely accused him of sexual misconduct against a minor.
With that in mind I have a hard time blaming him for anything. I think he was a decent player for us. Expensive, but quite ok.
