... that the quality of the show still stacks up better than pretty much everything that I recall from that era. In fact, I can't think of any other comedy show from the 80s that has stood the test of time better than Cheers. A lot of the Cheers stuff is now 40 years old or more, and the writing still seems fresh. IMHO, of course.
