I would say the same as these posts but I have a methods that might help. If I have milk left in the gallon but know I will need more soon, I freeze that part and use later. then start with a fresh gallon on next grocery trip. With bread, I love the wheat at the $ tree as it is always so fresh and cheap. When I bring it home, I immediately put 12 in freezer. We don't eat many sandwiches but eat a piece of toast with our hot cereals and this way it is used, also may make up a batch of fr toast with it.Our apt has a small frig so these small amts fit fine.
