Yeah, milk and bread are usually wasted. Sour cream, too.

Some of these items don't have a long food life. I think the food producers are planning it that way. I think they keep them in their warehouses until they are close to expiration date then ship them to us to buy. Then we have to buy more because their time runs out soon after we buy them.

I stopped buying those bagged lettuce mixes because the time ran out before the week was up and sometimes when you got the bag, they were brown and wilted before you opened them. And sometimes when I got those "fresh" chopped broc, caulif in bags, they are brown and icky.

Food quality is going down, IMO.
