I don't understand the moon at all. Sometimes it rises in the east, Sometimes in the southeast. sometimes in the south, somtimes in the southwest. I've never seen it in the north or west.

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. It has a summer position and a winter position but basically it's east and west. You always know where the sun is going to be. The moon, who knows.
