Not much swimming. We had a community pool but they charged you to get in and no one had any money.

My Mom's one friend was a member at a Lake Club and she would take us kids as guests. It was a very nice place which I would really appreciate today, but as a city kid not around nature very much, I did not like swimming in a lake. Especially a lake with fish, frogs and an occasional snake. Not for me. I just splashed around the shoreline. LOL But it was so nice of this lady to take us kids.
