Previous Messagesame goes for names imo Previous Messagebut there are a lot of people with blood on their hands on that front. when ace and myself asked that people stop using our real names, it was met with LOL. because we had used them in the past. ok. but at the same time, people are now complaining that they can't post personal info for fear that it might be resurrected at a later time for a purpose they do not authorize. seems similar to me. what's more, there are ishers here that did the exact same thing that ace & myself did, and their wishes are being faithfully respected. why that has taken hold, i dont know. maybe the answer is not to post anything on the board that you don't want getting out, unless you're reasonably confident that enough people like you so that your privacy preferences will be respected in the future. frankly, that's how this board has always operated. |
