So the surgery was successful. They removed far more clots than the could see in the scans. That's very good.

And everything was going pretty normal but then she had an infection so that had to battle that. And then she had a large amount of fluid accumulating around her heart. So they had to see if they could handle that with meds. The meds weren't working so they put a drain in the and had to let it drain for a few days. Then once drained they had to make sure it wasn't filling up again.

As of today they felt comfortable removing the drain. They think she's fine. They will do one more xray in the AM and they expect it to be clear. If so I pick her up. The xray is at 5 am and i was going to leave around 8 am after i get the kid out the door. So that should work.

With any luck, she'll be in her own bed tomorrow.

So that's nice.
