* Free medical care for everyone - 8.5/10 - Divisive point with this board, I'm sure, but the argument of healthcare as a basic human right has merit whether you like it or not. The main question is where to drawn the line of necessary vs. elective. Like the work week above, AI and robots are going to drive the price of healthcare(along with every good) down significantly in the next decade. We have the money to pay for universal healthcare now, but our politicians just choose to spend it on israel and launder it instead. It's also an expense that could easily be reformed and lessened in it's current state if we didn't have a corrupt govt. propping up the status quo of the system. If we actually had a govt. that wasn't corrupt and inept, health care would be a very logical industry to nationalize, cut costs, and expand care. You may not agree with this, but you're already paying for universal healthcare for millions(the majority) of Americans anyway...you may as well include yourself in it as well and make the care better by fixing the system.
* "Enact reparations" - 0/10 - Americans have been paying reparations since the civil war ended 1000x over. I've seen the following number estimated at the high end of this ChatGPT estimate many times and it is growing each year:

* Universal rent control - 3/10 - Generally a dumb idea. You have zero right to live in a certain area. The law of supply and demand should dictate the price of rent. I'll give it a 3 since I'm sure there are logical reasons for minimal guardrails to protect against manipulations in certain markets.

* Close overseas military bases - 5/10 - Some yes. Some no. We definitely do not need to maintain the footprint globally that we have in the past. With aircraft carriers, nuc subs, B2s, space force, etc we just don't fight the same way as we did 50 years ago and don't need to fully maintain the same footprint. Some, but not all should be closed.
* Abolish ICE - 0/10 - retarded
* Voting rights for non-citizen residents - 0/10 - retarded
* Replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress. - 0/10 - retarded and anyone who wants this needs to be removed or must move to another country.
* Abolish the Senate - 0/10 - retarded, see above. We do need term limits immediately though.
* DC statehood - 3/10 - retarded, but creating a district with a substantial population like DC was also retarded.
* "Ranked choice voting in all elections" - 4/10 - ranked choice is fine for community level elections but has no place in national elections.
* "Establish public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries" - 3/10 - valid arguments could be made for industries like healthcare which could be deemed a "human right" or energy sectors, but little else.
* "Enact aggressive wealth taxes" - "5/10" - historically, excessive wealth taxes were much higher than today so there is precedent. Further, AI is going to widen the gap between the haves and have nots and if AI starts taking all of the jobs the economy collapses. The owners of the AI systems and major industries will have to be taxed at higher rates to redistribute money to the underclasses in the form of UBI.
* "Publicly finance all elections" - 7/10 - The current system is definitely broken. When aipac can buy an election in the middle of kentucky against a wildly popular congressman, our system needs reform.
