In many of them (most?), the Russians usually surrender. Not certain what these Russians were thinking. Hiding in a small dugout packed with explosives is not a winning strategy when the Ukrainians are equipped with thermobaric grenades. You either get out and fight in order to keep the enemy away from you or even better, just surrender.
