. . . I still tend to believe that MAGA ends when President Trump leaves the White House. No matter how popular he remains at the time. No matter how well things may be going at the time. Trump is MAGA and not even Vance is going to be able to carry that mantle for very long.
And that is probably a good thing. I think many Americans want to see a new team (not necessarily a new party) take the reins after 8 years. Incumbent fatigue is real when it comes to the POTUS. And Trump will have essentially been center stage for 12 years by 2028.
Even though Massie lost his primary bid, I think that race demonstrates that while there may not be true "fractures" in the MAGA movement, some people appreciate what I am saying here - it will soon be time to move on.
