The guy hit a tree. The thing is it was completely engulfed in flames almost immediately, the tree was on fire and everything. Per the pictures the car/suv is not identifiable, a real mess. It’s looking like it was one of those EV fires though. Next day debris was like a tiny airplane crash site- tire strewn, entire spot charred. The guy lived barely a mile away, so he had to be familiar with the road. We are thinking maybe deer avoidance.

Now it’s become a memorial site with flowers and wreaths. I feel really bad for his family.
