In many of the bad male midlife crises I have witnessed, the guy in question did not seriously date very much prior to getting married relatively young. Few, if any long term relationships. And I think some of these guys may even have been virgins before meeting their eventual wives. I think it's only natural for these guys to eventually long for their missed youthful days of wild oats sowing. Or just simply miss being a young dude without many obligations and responsibilities. Especially when kids arrive relatively soon after marriage. I am not accusing DD of infidelity. But I do see a guy trying to be 20-something again.
