my first job was in fixed income so I have a semblance of an idea what I'm doing. Cash at these rates ain't terrible, but at this phase of my life I'm buying a lot of instruments that I intend to use as income replacement assuming a 2038 full retirement, so I mainly buy pockets between 2038 and 2055 right now, just depends on where I'm light. That is probably less appropriate for you at your age, though. I personally want cash flow from coupons and $100k of maturities each year because ideally I will never have to tap my equities when I retire.

I think the 60/40 is a prudent portfolio. I think the US is going to experience a substantial deflationary spiral driven primarily by demographics but also from technology/AI and I think people who are 100% equities are insane.
