...Almanac is a partner brewery in Alameda on the old Naval Base. Many of our brewers from Anchor ended up at Almanac when Anchor closed, including their head brewer Joao.

When we had the idea for this we asked Joao if he'd brew a batch of Anchor Stout for us. So, he did and we dumped barrels of Old Potrero and took him the wet barrels that day. He filled them with fresh Stout and let it age for a year. The day he dumped them we took them back and filled them with aged Old P for about another 6 months.

So it's like a giant Anchor family reunion in a Stout Barrel finished Old Potrero Malted Rye.
