But to suggest firing for using such a small amount in a common dessert is bat shit insane behavior unless it was previous policy that no dishes can contain any alcohol. that you are not allowed to bring alcohol or foods made with alcohol. It is kinda of a dick move. A little sign that says "Rum cake made with real rum" would have sufficed.
