It is rather diffcult to conceptualize a lot of what Niven describes, chief among them the ring itself. It kind of boggles the mind when you try to consider how gargantuan it is. There is nothing in real life to compare it to.

I have Lucifer's Hammer sitting on my shelf. Read The Mote In God's Eye earlier this year.

I first read some of The Foundation series in high school and then went back a long time ago as an adult and read most of them a second time.

I like Scalzi. Really enjoyed the first installment in Old Man's War and Red Shirts (and I am not a Star Trek fan).

Guns. Have them.
