So long ago. I remember that it was a very clever premise

I thought maybe I had a paperback copy in my old collection of SF novels. The closest I have is Niven and Pournelle’s Lucifer’s Hammer that I got in 1978.

Last year I reread the first novel in the Riverworld series.

I read at least four Foundation novels back in the day, and tried Foundation on AppleTV, but bailed.

I have seen John Scalzi talk in two of the past three years and have read some of his stuff in recent years.

I am going to finish it tonight. Only about 15 pages left.

The mathematical / science / physics concepts are a little heavy at times. Sometimes a LOT heavy. Often found my brain starting to hurt even as I was otherwise enjoying the narrative. Have to give Niven credit for coming up with something unique and then being able to both describe and "defend" it with such detail.
