So, for example..."Noriega St" is the nearest bus line to me. It's about 2 blocks east of me. It's currently dotted with commercial and residential. A significant amount of single family residential.
This law says that if someone wants to purchase a single family home along this transit corridor and put up a duplex, they aren't subject to the CEQA reviews.
In my instance, San Francisco has approved upzoning to allow 65ft-85ft buildings along here dependent on location...instead of restricting to single family homes.
I don't believe this will destroy my property value and I don't believe very many of these will actually get built. It's just removing a NIMBY tool of obstruction on projects like this. Previous Message
