Big Jim, I'm sure you have got your figures wrong from what I remember reading in the past? The first trench of Oldham's rate payers money came from OMBC Labour council just before a local election as I remember? I'm also amazed that there is such a demand for those two types of sports nationally never mind locally? and Why Oldham AFC? Were we that vulnerable that we would take/do anything for a few Quid? (I doubt it) Or is there more truth in the rumour that its been done because its adjacent to the Clayton playing fields which the Labour council have had there eyes on for many a year for Housing even though they have lost many court cases and appeals in doing so with the use of the peoples of Oldham hard earned rates money. I also wonder what is the reason for all that expenditure on drains down Sheepsfoot Lane and Furtherwood Road? Especially when OMBC Labour council wont empty the Towns Grids and gully's because OMBC don't even own one drain cleaning vehicle. There is definitely something afoot that's not in the best interest of Oldham Athletic F.C.in my opinion. I cannot prove a single word that I have written, but hey, I bet I'm not far of the mark at the end of the day. I'm sorry for the political edge but I cannot write this post without mentioning some as it became political when OAFC accepted Money from the Labour run OMBC.
