What we don’t know is what the players think of the manager’s tactics. If they are as dismayed as the fans are, then you would hope some of them would be brave enough to make their feelings known. But it’s equally likely that they are fully on board with the boss’s decisions - and only blame themselves for being unable to hold on, despite him removing forwards in attempt to bolster the midfield. In which case would be difficult for him to change his approach.
