I'm not bothered if fondop scores 1 goal a season(but he will obviously score more) because he has impact, and I remember when Mellon played Norwood and Garner together and they couldn't get behind the defences, so Mellon brought Fondop back in and he ended getting 20 goals and driving us on to Wembley.
Unless big Mikey's form slumped horribly or Mellon gets much better strikers in, Fondop has to be played in this current team either 90 or 45 minutes each game for us because he drives us higher up the pitch.
I watch fondop more than any other player on the pitch and in 3 years I haven't seen him been bullied yet, even against giant centre backs,
not to mention Fondops 50 goals and counting.
He will slow down because he's in his 30's and he's a big unit, but we should get this season out of him easily.
