First match of the season and I thought we played reasonably well. There were parts of very decent play and some not so good but in general we looked what we are, a team with some good players that haven’t quite gelled yet. The signs are we will get better as the season progresses.
If we can get through without too many bad injuries and the players on the bench can step up I can’t see why we wouldn’t win promotion.
Mellon and team looked to have recruited well, the supporters are up for it and we are progressing steadily all throughout the club, so well done to them.
If we can build some momentum with a good run of results early season then the season looks very bright indeed.
I think the players look super fit and up to the physical battles that some teams will use against us.
