Lj, athletes from smaller countries don’t take up 90 minutes in a stadium holding 70,000 people in front of a billion viewers. At least there are other elite athletes to watch at the same time and you can ignore the time wasters. In the World Cup teams like Morocco are proving that it’s not exclusively Europe and South America. When African etc countries prove that they are up to World standard then by all means they should be allowed to compete but merely expanding the competition just to accommodate them is not acceptable to me. Please save us from another Canada v South Africa. The World Cup is not a charity case.
