Hoping my memory is not deceiving me on this, but I’m sure I recall an evening match at BP some time in the late 60s, when latics turned out in blue & white stripes. Presumably in respect to Gilbert Hoare, the former chron reporter, who had passed away earlier that day. And who thoroughly disapproved of the tangerine kit?
