No, no, no, a thousand times no. Not ever. I’ve repeatedly said the EFL would be in a far better place if it cut its cloth accordingly and had nothing to do with the PL. Their only interest in us is as a breeding ground for players that occasionally fare better than in their own over populated academies. The recent upsurge in EFL crowds has come in spite of the PL not because of it. Split and get the clubs well managed and plan for a once only ( massive and for some zombie clubs existential ) correction in finances and we will be in a better place. PS I loathe the PL
