Mr Chairman, I don’t know who that chap was that you brought into our group chat at halftime but I considered his take on our current plight to be bizarre. He favoured keeping Mellon and his argument seemed to be that Mellon had a limited time to strengthen his squad for League 2 as the playoff final was so late and he didn’t know what league we would be in. Well he had 63 days ie nine weeks! I consider that to be sufficient time to gather together a squad fit for purpose. The time element is no excuse. Mellon’s only excuse can be “I don’t know how to pick a team”. In my opinion he has sufficient players if the right quality, he just doesn’t know how to play them or how to motivate them. Manners prevented me from contradicting your friend but I think he was talking out of his backside.
