The board of directors can clearly see that the present team/squad is sadly lacking in specific areas and that promotion from the National league was a good thing,we are unable,at present, to compete with the big boys in Division 2, when it comes to signing the types of player needed. I don’t see an easy way out of this money problem and it may be a few seasons before we are anywhere near ready!
The present window has seen very little movement of players ,in or out of BP.,apart from contract extensions for the odd player to stay on,and the odd loan out. I also think they,the board will be content to consolidate our position in this league for the rest of this season. They won’t say it up front lest gates are affected,but that’s what will happen!
Come the end of the season the players who are taking us nowhere need to be chopped,before a further attempt is made on bringing better in.
