Any fan that has watched latics regularly for the last two and a half years ,that knows how football works, will tell you that fondop is our most effective striker.
Not the most technical, not the best on the eye, but most effective. By that, i mean pushing defences back, bringing in other players, disrupting defences, and mixing it wit big opposition defenders. WE HAVE NO OTHER STRIKER THAT CAN DO THAT.
Sadly, MM can't see it. Fondop starts and you build the team around him.
i don't know any other manager in the history of football that drops the top scorer with 20 goals, and plays the likes of quigley and drummond (no goals in 20 and no goals in 40) before fondop.
