I noticed your mention of manflu in an earlier post. I know we tend to put a humorous slant on this kind off illness at this particular time of year but I think you do yourself an injustice. This is a serious affliction as I can testify from my experience of the last two weeks. I caught it from a dog-walking friend and was immediately floored. I have been pretty seriously ill since and unfortunately passed it on to my other half who has had it worse than me. She was affected mentally in the same way a urine infection causes side effects. She fell numerous times and has badly broken her hand as well as suffering what amounts to a bad dose of flu. We are both in the process of recovering now, thank goodness, but I do not take it lightly. I haven’t felt so ill in a long time.
